The decision of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia to withdraw from the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) will not affect the international legal cooperation of the Russian Federation on a bilateral basis and within other international organisations. This was reported to ‘RG’ by President of the All-Russian organisation ‘IPA Russian Section’, Honoured Lawyer of Russia Yury Zhdanov. According to him, this is a forced measure, since Russia was actually pushed out.
‘What is happening now speaks of a chronic policy of double standards on the part of the United States and most European States. In the last decade, armed conflicts related to the deployment of the armed forces of one State in the territory of Another have occurred more than once (Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Syria, Yugoslavia). The International Association of Prosecutors stayed away from these processes.’
I hope that common sense will prevail later, justice of men is illusory while the judgement of history is eternal, Yury Zhdanov believes.
Recall you that on Wednesday it became known that the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia is withdrawing from the International Association of Prosecutors. Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov pointed out that manifestations of xenophobia and racism are cultivated with silence on the part of the IAP.
